Thanks and the "new" audio is up but it's not that new... all the songs from the last videos is there, slightly remastered... never did remix them...

Next up is a more organic transitional collection. There are a few leftover drum loops on my drive to be used but going forward I will be doing all the percussion from scratch with my new yamaha edrums for a less robotic groove. I have been moving away from drum loops and step editing programming with MIDI for years and now I finally will have a way to play real drum beats through decent sounding drum plugins (and have fun doing it too- playing beats on a MIDI keyboard is beyond nerdlike)

anyway... the next songs are about 40% done so it should be fairly soon

the next batch after that will take a while longer as I have to master drum playing in about a week before I start recording...

peace

shit, the drum module needs a firmware update to send different hi hats for open/closed pedal... damn... i even spoke to yamaha about the update before i bought the thing... oh well , its a free repair, will use the internal sounds (which work with pedal) for now and stick to ride cymbals or jerry rig a pad to play open/closed hats via MIDI... at least i am not a drummer or this would really bother me... i just put together a soundfont of a a deceased friends drum set that i sampled many years ago... strange to play that set again... i can set velocity switch on hat pad to go soft closed and hard open and fake it for now.... already got my eyes on double bass pedal and updated hat/kick triggers... i'm also still trying to restore the old magnus reed organ i trash picked and sample that bad boy.... time sucks

I'v never been able to get the open/closed pedal to work on my yamaha pads, I hope it works eventually. I like the way you're doing it, though.

time does indeed suck.

DD65?

If so take it to any authorized dealer, it's a free fix.

if it's YDD 60 it is the same model as DD65.... so bring it in and they will fix it... i got my eye on the KP65 kick trigger and HH65 hui hat... and double bass pedal... and a snare stand... and some monitors.... and new sustain pedal... and an ibanez guitar... and a pickup for the acoustic... and .... and .... and ... IT NEVER ENDS.... glad i only have 3 expensive hobbies now...

Yeah, YDD-60 it is... I typoed. I know exactly what you mean about gear... I keep thinking I'm finished and (Michael Corleone voice): it keeps pulling me back! Right now I need some new Monster Cables... and a better pickup for my hollow-body 'Shine' guitar.. and a 6-string banjo... lol...

I Ioved the recent 'Stochastic Arts' album, by the way... :)

That's the '6-string' banjo! It's a guitar neck, guitar tuning, on a banjo body, with banjo sound. A great shortcut to actually learning the sucker... :)

Yeah, I don't have any kind of amp, I just do everything direct. It kind of bothers me, though I can't rally afford one and don't even have the room for an amp, because what if someone wants me to go 'jam'? :(

Yeah, I use Musician's Friend a lot myself, music stores are highly bogus ... and really, they always have been. At least you can find what you're looking for at MF. I've seen those Randall amps: very nice, indeed! I wouldn't mind one myself, or one of those ridiculously loud Line 6 digital amps, or both...

While putting together my last set of demos, my old headphones broke, so I got a pair of these fancy Sony MDR 7506's... and it's like hearing in 4D. It should improve the sound on future demos once I get used to them. That's the last thing I got, I think... :D

yeah, i grew up at the shore (before there was 20 mob wife and drunken guido reality shows) and there were only 2 music srores around for 20 miles... i would go to the shop, plug in the pedals and try out shit then go home and buy it for half the price through the catalog... cash COD back in the day, lol....

That's the way to go... I want to check out this Manny guy. :D

Another cool thing is many items are cheaper than they used to be, even though money is worth less, too. Strings, for example.
